Is JAT Messenger available for real calls today?
The Cloudflare-native pilot code is prepared but not yet verified with real Google accounts and two devices. Do not rely on it for urgent calls.
Will JAT Messenger be free?
We plan to provide a free-first service. Free infrastructure tiers have limits; commercial pricing, if ever introduced, would need to be clearly disclosed before use.
Will I need to use a phone number?
The initial plan uses Google Sign-In, an automatic JAT ID and an optional username. Mobile SMS verification is not required.
What if another person has my name?
Display names do not need to be unique. Your JAT ID is assigned automatically, and a username is optional.
Can I call someone without the app?
Both people need access to JAT Messenger and the internet. Calling ordinary telephone numbers is not part of the free web plan.
Will my phone ring after I close the browser?
V4 does not yet support closed-browser push notifications; ringing works only while the web app is open and permitted. A native Android app is planned later.
Will it work internationally?
The product is intended for international use; actual call success depends on network conditions, regional restrictions and tested TURN relay availability.
Are calls recorded?
Our V1 plan does not include recording calls. Real deployment must confirm the privacy and retention policy.
Do you support video calls?
One-to-one video calling is planned after voice call quality has been validated. Group video is a later possibility, not a V1 promise.
Which languages will it support?
Nine UI languages are planned: English, Bangla, Japanese, Chinese, French, German, Spanish, Arabic and Russian. The current preview is primarily in English.
What is your privacy and account deletion policy?
V4 includes signed-in account deletion and blocking. Retention policies, abuse reporting and final privacy disclosures must be reviewed before public registration.
